People Matching Project data retention policies (1/15/2016)

The People Matching Project collects and publishes the results of surveys for volunteers. Care is taken to preserve participant anonymity. No information that could be used to track or identify participants is collected. This website does not use any third party scripts or plug-ins, or use cookies.

The People Matching Project seeks to publish collected raw data to the maximum extent without compromising participant anonymity. In data release demographic information (age, gender, etc.) will be obsfucated. Generally there are no threat to participant anonymity from the personality questionnaire. In phase two of the PMP, the matched surveys portion, there is a potential threat (one party keeps track of their information to locate the paired party) so the pairing information will be kept confidential and only a summary correlation matrix will be released from that step.
